Angel Abbud-Madrid, Director of the Mines Space Resources Program talked to Colorado Public Radio, Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner about the rapid growth of the space industry in Colorado. The interview included startup company and Mines Space Resources program industrial partner Karman+, which recently won a $1.3 million state incentive, payable over eight years, to move to Colorado. The firm is developing plans to mine water and minerals from asteroids. Karman+ joins hundreds of companies in Colorado that make up the second-largest aerospace industry in the country.
