The final report of the NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts (NIAC) Phase I study, entitled: Thermal Mining of Ices on Cold Solar System Bodies has been released. The report contains a concept study and preliminary tests conducted at Colorado School of Mines to show how the Thermal Mining method could be applicable and profitable for developing lunar water ice resources.
